What is Profit Target?
A profit target is the amount of account growth a prop firm requires before it considers an evaluation passed. For example, a firm might ask for a 6 percent gain on a 50,000 account before moving you forward. The target has to be reached without breaking the drawdown, daily loss, or other rules, which is why hitting it quickly is not the same as hitting it cleanly.
Why Profit Target matters
It is the bar you have to clear to pass, and the rules around it shape how aggressively people trade to reach it.
