What is Inflation?

Inflation is the rate at which prices in general rise over time. It is usually measured by a consumer price index, which tracks the cost of a typical basket of goods and services from one year to the next.

Why Inflation matters

Inflation shrinks what money can buy, so a return only means something once inflation is taken out.
