What is Funded Account?
A funded account is the account you trade after passing a prop firm's evaluation. It still belongs to the firm and runs under the same rule set, but it is the stage where you can earn a payout from any profits. Many retail firms keep funded accounts on simulated capital and only route a portion of trades to a real market, so the word funded does not always mean live money is behind every trade.
Why Funded Account matters
It is the goal of the evaluation, and reading its fine print tells you whether payouts come from real fills or a firm payout pool.
