What is Candlestick?
A candlestick is one bar on a chart that summarizes a single period of trading, such as one minute, one hour, or one day. It shows four prices for that period: the open, the high, the low, and the close. The colored rectangle is the body and the thin lines above and below it are the wicks.
Why Candlestick matters
Candlesticks pack four prices into one shape, so a chart shows far more than just where price ended.
