What is Indicator?
An indicator is a calculation applied to price, volume, or time that gets drawn on a chart to make a pattern easier to see. Examples include moving averages, RSI, and MACD. An indicator does not predict the future; it summarizes data you already have in a different visual form.
Why Indicator matters
Knowing an indicator is a summary of past data, not a forecast, keeps you from trusting it blindly.
