What is Implementation Intention?
An implementation intention is a plan written as if-then: if a specific situation happens, then I will do a specific thing. Psychologist Peter Gollwitzer showed that linking a cue to a response in advance makes people far more likely to act as intended than a general goal alone.
Why Implementation Intention matters
Markets present the hardest decisions at the worst moments, so deciding the response before the moment arrives removes most of the struggle.
